Oklahoma Paralysis
Paralysis is the result of a disconnection between the brain or spinal cord and the body. This separation can sometime be caused by disease, but in most cases it is due to an outside force, such as an accident involving a hard blow to the body. People suffering from traumatic spinal cord injuries face a unique set of challenges after their injury.
In addition to the psychological trauma, paralysis victims face reduced mobility, involuntary control of bladder and bowel, muscle spasms, and greater dependence on others. If you or a loved one has been involved in an accident resulting in paralysis and that accident was the result of someone else's negligence, you may be eligible for monetary compensation.

Paralysis injuries are divided into two categories based on the degree of the injury and the exact location of the spine damage. Paraplegia refers to paralysis below the chest or waist, whereas quadriplegia affects the upper limbs as well. Paralysis may be partial or total, temporary or permanent. If motor function is not regained within several months after the injury, the loss is more likely to be permanent. Unfortunately, people who become paralyzed due to spinal cord injury are also at risk of developing other problems such as pneumonia, bed sores, and urinary tract infections.
